Accessibility statement for plus.fi
Updated on 16 October 2026
This accessibility statement covers the Plus Katsastus website, plus.fi, and its Finnish, Swedish and English content. Our aim is to make the website usable by as many people as possible on different devices and with assistive technologies.
Accessibility status
The website is partially compliant with accessibility requirements. The shortcomings described below remain, and the accessibility assessment is being supplemented.
Accessibility improvements were made in October 2026. Full conformance of the entire website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA has not yet been verified.
Preparation of this statement and assessment method
This statement is based on Traficom’s simplified accessibility monitoring inspection of 16 September 2026 and the corrective work and sample checks carried out on 15–16 October 2026. An automated AChecker test at WCAG 2.2 Level AA was also performed on a sample of four pages on 16 October 2026, and verified findings were corrected.
Selected pages and functions have been assessed in Finnish, Swedish and English. The methods included keyboard testing, visual inspection, mobile-sized browser windows, zoom, and inspection of the names, structures and states conveyed to assistive technologies.
The assessment does not cover every page or accessibility requirement. Testing with an actual screen reader and testing of all key end-to-end user journeys have not yet been carried out.
Known accessibility shortcomings
Older image and certificate material
The ISO 9001:2008 image and certificate material in the older “Laatujärjestelmä” (Quality system) article contain broken content references. Restoring or replacing this material requires verification of the original source.
Content and functions still to be assessed
The accessibility of the following items has not yet been comprehensively verified. An incomplete assessment does not mean that all the content listed below is inaccessible.
- The suitability of image alternatives, individual article content and PDF files.
- The functioning of all texts and links in the language versions.
- Full keyboard and screen reader use of embedded maps, and directions.
- The usability of reCAPTCHA image and audio challenges.
- The complete user journey for a successful appointment booking and form submission.
- The accessibility of the booking and recruitment services and the service widget opened from the website.
- Sharing functions in external social media services.
Improvements made and next steps
Improvements in October 2026 included keyboard focus visibility, skipping to the main content, the mobile menu, heading structures, link recognition, form instructions and error messages, and the use of the station search and opening-hours tables. The setting that restricted page zoom was removed. Google review profile link names and image alt attributes, review text contrast, and station search listbox names were also corrected. Red notice text on station pages was darkened.
Accessibility assessment will continue using a representative sample of pages, automated checks and targeted manual checks. Shared page templates will be assessed through representative pages. Any content-specific shortcomings found will be checked and corrected separately.
This statement will be updated following further checks and corrections.
