Plus Katsastus is a 100% Finnish vehicle inspection station chain operating throughout Finland with over 70 stations.

Heavy quadricycles belonging to vehicle class L7e must be inspected for the first time no later than 4 years after the vehicle’s date of entry into service. After that, no later than 2 years after the previous inspection. When more than 10 years have passed since the date of entry into service, the vehicle must be inspected annually (no later than one year after the previous inspection).

Quadricycles belonging to vehicle class L6e must be inspected for the first time no later than 3 years after the date of entry into service. The next time no later than 2 years after the previous inspection. After that, annually (no later than one year after the previous inspection).

You can carry out periodic inspections for microcars and quad bikes at all our stations.

The inspection covers the following items:

  • Axles, wheels, suspension
  • Braking system
  • Vehicle identification data (e.g., serial number, registration data)
  • Electrical equipment, lights
  • Chassis, body
  • Steering and control devices
  • Visibility (e.g., windscreen, cleaning devices, mirrors)
  • Environmental impact of the vehicle (e.g., noise, fluid leaks)
  • Exhaust gas measurement (Exhaust gas measurements for petrol-powered vehicles apply to vehicles entered into service in 1978 and thereafter)
  • Smoke opacity measurement (Smoke opacity measurement applies to diesel vehicles entered into service after 1 January 1980)
